My 1955 Hammond M3

After selling my Hammond L-122 I realised that I really liked spinets. They are small, some of them are beautiful, and they, if the right model, sounds like the real thing.

So, I decided that I wanted another spinet. and since I already have had a L-100 Series spinet, and a M-100 spinet I really wanted to try the "original" M serie. And since I want all options, it had to be the Hammond M3.

In 2003 I bought a 1955 Hammond M3 from Ebay. The Ad said "1957", but it actually was a 1955 model when checking serial number and date on capacitor filters.

The organ was in good shape in the ad, and I took a chance to buy the organ. The organ came to Norway about a month later in a crated box. As you can see in the pictures, I was very exited about the organ and opening the crate...

The organ was as nice in real live as the ad stated!
